October Fun

   During Language Arts, students listened to a story about apple pie. The next day they were able to try a slice thanks to Ms. V. As delicious as it looked, not everyone was a fan of the sweet tasting dessert.

   Last week, we all dressed up to participate in a music parade! We listened and marched in time to “Ride of the Valkyries” by Wagner. The students excitedly followed their leader through the halls of the school.

   An Orton-Gillingham specialist visited WKS to explore the world of words. While reviewing the letters and sounds of the alphabet, the students were given the opportunity to create human A’s. From looking at pictures, they enjoyed seeing what part they played in forming the letter.
